A happy Christmas party ended up really badly for a group of friends when one woman collapsed while singing during Christmas party.
The woman was identified as Karen Stella Wong a 28-year-old Singaporean model.
According to a report on China Press Karen Stella was with friends, enjoying their Christmas party at a karaoke bar on Neil Road in Chinatown, Singapore last December 15.
Karen who is a well-known model in car shows and exhibitions had been singing with her friends when she suddenly felt excruciating pain in her head after hitting some high notes. The model collapsed as she felt numb on one side of her body.
The model was immediately brought to the Singapore General Hospital to receive medical attention, but she soon went into a coma which she would never wake up from. It turned out a blood vessel burst inside her skull, causing internal bleeding that led to the stroke. The diagnosis was acute intracerebral hemorrhage. Karen was in a coma for 3 days before passing away.
Karen’s family and friends were shocked over her sudden death since she had been healthy. They said they didn’t even see signs that she had a medical issue prior to the incident. It was also heartbreaking that she died just a few days before Christmas.
Her body was cremated on December 20, with the ceremony attended by around 100 people.
Her mother would post a heartbreaking message the following day, “If I can hear my daughter’s voice and see the smile on her face, that would be my biggest wish for this Christmas.”
